Day Two. Week One.
Wednesday

It was a free and easy time so upon waking up and getting ready, we went for a lunch at the business district since there was a only one halal 'coffeshop' like in Singapore. Since we were told to get ready by 3pm by one of the UESTC student leaders, a group of us went there in the afternoon to try the food. When i first ate there, the food was much more better than the dinner i ate yesterday but still it can't be compared to the foods being sold in Singapore. After eating, we went back to our dorm just before 3pm to find out that we were actually late for our meeting with some of the UESTC lecturers/officials at a conference room and that it actually starts at 2.30pm.

We quickly get to the designated place of the meeting which was led by one of the student leaders. After the end of the meeting, we went back to our dorm to laze around our own rooms while we wait for the installation of our internet. Not to mention that I had no choice but to bathe in cold water when the atmosphere was already cold due to certain problems faced by my card. It was not my first time bathing in cold water during cold weather but as compared to Chengdu's cold weather, I felt as if I was about to freeze myself to death since I could not stop shivering while showering.

By night, everyone was gathering at one of the room to get the internet installed into our laptops. When it was all settled, every single one of us girls were quietly at our rooms using the internet and doing our own things. I'm still trying to get used to the surroundings that I am not familiar with. This is the time when I was deep in thought that this uneasy feelings i felt could be what all the foreigner students that I knew back in Singapore would felt the same too when they migrate to Singapore to study. However, I am still not homesick yet by the end of today and i think that it's pretty much a good thing for me.
