Sunday
The
teacher had planned for us a trip to the Raffles City, which is exactly like
the shopping malls that Singapore is famous for. But a big group of us didn’t
felt like going there since most of the things available there are just foods.
Hence we planned to go to the Walmart for the fun of it. As usual, we took the
tuk-tuk from the campus’ South Gate to the area. Before we went to the Walmart,
we stop by to the MacDonald to have our lunch. After eating out lunch, we went
around the Walmart to do some snack shopping since it is pretty cheap there and
also our aim is to accompany Huiting since she wanted to buy a souvenir for her
younger brother. However it ended up that there is nothing that she could buy
for her brother, we ate MacDonald again for dinner and head back to campus by
tuk-tuk.
We
came back kind of early and were just slacking at out dorm, doing our own
leisure things. Then suddenly Rose Marie came back from the trip to the Raffles
City with a bag full of macaroons. I felt really touched as she said that it
was for both Huiting and I only. To be honest, I was not emotionally stable
today as something happened but then with the macaroons, it totally lifted up
my feelings and I was happy once again. Particularly when I got to know that
Rose bought me a blueberry flavored a macaroon which is in blue color
especially for me (because I like the color blue and blueberry flavor). It was
really the best experience as this is my first time trying out eating a
macaroon and it was really very delicious! Now I can’t help but crave to eat
more of them back in Singapore with tea, to be even more high class.
