Day TwentyFive. Week Four
Friday

Despite being busy with all the practices for the performance today, we are also busy academically. We had to do our common test today but I did not study for it at all. I was always too busy with something and also partly was because I am too lazy. The initial plan was for me to wake up early in the morning to quickly study for the common test, since the test would be in the afternoon. However, I slept through the morning again, and only woke up on time to get ready to go for class. I was totally unprepared for the test as I only manage to scheme through the textbooks. I just hope for the best for my results in this test that I took today.

After some grace period of relaxation in the late afternoon, we gather by the evening near the student plaza for the exchange programme that would be taken place at night. There seems to be a miss communication as the student leaders told us that during the exchange programme, we would only chat among each other and play some games but no performances. But in the end, the student leaders went to gather a couple of people to perform for us since we would be performing for them. The exchange programme was also to celebrate the Mooncake Festival together with the student leaders. Thus they gave us plain water, nuts and mooncakes to eat as snacks and drink. All of us were very enthusiastic and having a blast being all hyper up, performance after performance. Even though our performances were a little messy in the beginning, it was still a fun and enjoyable experience I had in this UESTC campus. I especially enjoy the ending of the programme where some of us were doing a freestyle dance while the rest of us were cheering very loudly in encouragement.

After the programme ended, we went for a late dinner together as a group. Since the mooncake that were given to us were not halal so I could not bring myself to eat it. But thankfully Shinyi brought two halal mooncakes from Singapore to celebrate the Mooncake Festival together in China. We then had a mooncake session with Shinyi, Huiting, Rose, Aisyah, Faiz, Weijie, Andy, Desmond and I. we sat or ‘lepak’ outside the entrance of the girl’s dorm while we chat and eat the mooncakes together. It was my very first time trying out to eat mooncakes in my life and I really like it! Next time when I’m back in Singapore during the Mooncake Festival, I would definitely buy a mooncake for myself to eat.
