Tuesday
After
our lunch break, we had a Jiu Zhai Gou briefing by one of the UESTC
university’s lecturer today during our afternoon lesson. We were told that the
trip was brought forward to this week and was added one more day of the trip
duration. So from the first plan of having a three day trip to Jiu Zhai Go, we
now ended up with four days, which is from 13th to 16th
September.
By
dinner time, we the girls we out to the business district and ate our dinner at
the usual halal coffee shop stall. Once we had our fill, we decided to slack
around the area for a while and ended up playing ‘pool’ or snooker among
ourselves. It was our first time playing ‘pool’ except for some of us like
Aisyah, Sohyun etc. However, halfway through the game, Huiting and Aisyah had
to went back to the dorm first as they had to ‘da bao’ or give back packed food
to Shinyi who was staying at the dorm and didn’t follow us for dinner. So the
rest of us, Raidah, Sohyun, Eunjeong, Rose Marie and I went for another KTV or
karaoke session. We were happily singing our lungs out until we’ve forgotten
about the dorm curfew which is at 11pm. We continued to have fun until 11.30pm
where we suddenly remembered about the curfew timing and rushed back to the
dorm as fast as our legs could carry us.
When
we finally reached by our dorm, the main entrance’s door was locked. All of us
started to panic because none of us really wanted to spend the night outside
our dorm in the cold. Eventually, we had to wake up the guard aunty by calling
her to open the door. We felt really bad to wake the aunty up at such wee hours
but also thankful to her because she was kind enough to open the door and let
us in even when it was passed the dorm’s curfew time. From then onwards, I dare
not to stay out of the dorm till very late but just stay in my dorm or room at
least two hours before the curfew time. It was a really lesson learnt for me,
well that’s what I thought at most.
